“Freedom…is not just free will, it is actually living in a society that is organized along “rational” principles of, say, cooperation.
…what we tend to call utopian, is actually not utopian, precisely because it is not a ‘no place.’
It’s not impossible to achieve.
It’s actually possible to achieve…”

We promise we're super mature with Philip K. Dick's last name. Mostly.

This week we're taking on Philip K. Dick's 1956 sci-fi novelette, "The Minority Report."

Precrime. Science fiction. Being cuckolded in your mind. It's all here, folks

Thanks to the fellas from @thepoduniverse.com for joining!

A strange find from the Epstein files:

A hacker named Vincenzo Iozzo shares with Epstein a rumor that Peter Thiel was "bankrolling" the neo-Nazi white supremacist hacker troll known as "weev."

Conversation is about financial strategies and "currencies."

People who see “voting isn’t how you get real change, just choosing the conditions you organize under” as arguing for voter apathy are telling on themselves that they only see politics as something to do occasionally on a ballot, not built every day through community, solidarity & collective action.

“Researchers have found that when a new plasma center opens in a neighborhood, foot traffic at local grocery stores increases, interest in payday loans declines and crime goes down, an indication of the way money from plasma props up households’ finances for necessities.“
Middle-class Americans are selling their plasma to make ends meet
Last year, people in the U.S. made an estimated $4.7 billion selling their plasma. Donation centers are popping up in middle-class neighborhoods, including suburban strip malls and college towns.

those camps were built under obama and kept open under biden. ICE budgets increased every year under obama and biden. no one from the first trump term was prosecuted and biden told trump "welcome home" on inauguration day

neo-liberalism doesn't fight fascism it enables it.
This is just a classic "neoliberalism is anything I don't like."

I mean, neoliberalism is bad. But it's on a whole different axis from "fight fascists or not."

What mistake?

This is referring to the discourse around people saying they won’t vote for Newsom/you should vote blue no matter who in 2028.

The point here is that running an electable candidate is in the Democratic Party’s best interest to defeat Trump/JD/whoever. Do you disagree?

There’s no reason to think a third party candidate can win. That’s why the Democrats should run someone that doesn’t drive a significant section of their potential voter base to third parties/not voting.

Crazy concept but if you don’t want people to vote third party then don’t run a candidate that a significant number of people openly refuse to vote for.

This is the correct strategy regardless of what you think about said people’s willingness to vote third party.

They’ve criminalized pregnancy in some states.

Arrested women for miscarrying.

They’re making it harder for women to vote.

They shout “repeal the 19th!”

It’s a war on women.
