Wondering why no one likes your posts anymore, even among your friends? It's because @jay.bsky.team and team have decided to hide a huge amount of content from all of our feeds by default.

Here's how to turn it off.

According to this ranking, Canada’s reputation has improved since 2024. We are now the 2nd most reputable country in the world.

The United States has dropped from 30th to 48th in that same year, the biggest drop of any nation BY FAR. Its reputation-peers are now Kuwait, Algeria, Kazakhstan…

Unbelievable when they know the harm it does to their audience.

This made me laugh. Sadly true.
Earlier this year, I met a Croatian journalist who was in the US doing a piece on America’s politics and I asked her what surprised her. And she said, “What you all call the far left is just being normal.”

The Western Australian government is allowing 2% of Western Australia to be fracked… as if that’s not much.

But

2% of Western Australia’s area is approximately 50,598 square kilometres.

That’s about the same size as Costa Rica or Slovakia.

Imagine ALL of Slovakia covered in toxic gas wells.

Disappointed by the govt’s rushed push to pass a 1,500-page environment bill without proper scrutiny or consultation. This is a key chance to protect nature & embed climate accountability—but the bill falls short.

Since the mid 1990s, Norway has imposed a 56 per cent "special tax" for oil and gas companies, alongside a 22 per cent corporate tax rate.

Australia could learn a lesson from this and make companies pay their fair share for our natural resources.

WOW. 81% of women 18-29 voted for Mamdani, 80% for Sherril, and 78% for Spanberger.

Gen Z women aren't playing around.

Negative gearing and the capital gains tax discount are costing $13 billion per year. Cutting back on these tax rorts for the rich will raise billions of dollars for public housing.

We need Change.
The Greens have secured a Senate inquiry into the capital gains tax (CGT) discount. We will use this to expose one of the most regressive tax breaks in Australia, where 50% of the benefit goes to the top 1% wealthiest Australians.

As it stands, workers under 18 have to work at least 30 hours a week to access super – a figure unattainable for most young people who have school and study commitments. This means hundreds of thousands of our young workers are missing out on super – it’s not fair.

An alternative you might consider is downloading the Opera browser to your computer. It has a built-in VPN (Virtual Private Network) that hides your country of origin and ought to allow usual sign-in without verification. I use it but, if it fails, I won't be here any more, either.

Punishment for Profit.
Private punitive harmful job agencies receive $4 billion a year. It’s not in their self interest to support people to find suitable employment. It is a huge conflict of interest, provider’s profit from keeping people unemployed.

Government gave Qantas $2.7 billion and we didn't even take a stake.

If a private enterprise needs public money to survive, then it should become a public enterprise. If it's important enough for us to prop it up, then it's important enough for us to control it.

Labor digging into taxpayers' pockets to bail out Rio Tinto again
The government can't hide its frustration with Rio Tinto, but at the same time it's preparing to dip deeper into taxpayers' pockets to help the company out. Again.

IMPORTANT: The Dutch invest €595 million annually on urban biking, resulting in €19 BILLION saved in public health care costs alone. That’s how smart governments do the math on investing in better mobility.

Let’s be clear— it wastes public money to NOT do it.
