Hi friends! Things are really starting to pick up here, for those that are new followers I make LEGO models and instructions! Usually from sci-fi franchises, but I enjoy doing my own stuff too.

Currently working on refreshing my model catalog, excited for what's to come!

The Virgo over Venus. This is my concept for a crewed Venus exploration vessel in the 2100s, based on the astrological glyph for the planet. The whole structure is spun, and the tether increases the overall radius for the inhabited sections while saving weight.
A circular ship over the limb of Venus. Looking down the ship towards the Venusian clouds.

Sorry but they don't look similar at all to me. I also grow celery and while they can definitely be that leafy, it looks very different! This prop being dyed celery just isn't botanically possible.

Also dyed celery would have streaks of red throughout, like the ones in your link do!
liliumbrickyards.com
Plus if you look closely you can actually see the regular celery stick underneath the red masses, especially near the tops lol.
liliumbrickyards.com
Oh ya it definitely can! But not so far down the base. And the leaves aren't those shapes. And you would actually see them growing out of the top of the stalk, these ones kinda just appear in a lump.

Actually I think they just glued a bunch of red tissue paper onto a celery stick lol. The fronds start way too far down the base to be actual dyed celery.

When @ncc-60205.bsky.social says "more complex things", they are not fucking around.

Glenn Israel's recent comments on LinkedIn about leaving Halo Studios.

To me, this seems to obviously suggest AI use. Glenn has been with Halo since ODST, I honestly can't see him leaving like this for any other reason.

Seems Halo will become another casualty of the AI bubble. God I hate AI.
A LinkedIn post by former 343i Art Director Glenn Israel which reads: "As of today and after seventeen long years, I am officially no longer contributing to the Halo universe. There is little more I can say for the moment, though I intend to share this particular story in its entirety when it is absolutely safe to do so next year. In the meantime, I have a message for anyone and everyone who needs to hear it.

I know that the state of our industry seems dire, but never forget that you are *free to choose*. No illusion of security nor promise of wealth or fame or power is worth trading away your health, your dignity, your ethics or values - and no one can force you to. Stay strong, take evidence when necessary, and find where you belong.

As always, I'll be here if you need to talk."

Coming soon to #StarTrekOnline , the Gladius-Class has been remastered to our current visual standard, and as usual, this will be free for any owners of the Gladius Escort Refit and usable on any ship in the Escort (Saber-Class family)!

I'm amazed he did so with such limited design software/pieces! A lot of my designs are only even possible thanks to all the newer pieces.

I've always wanted to try making Trek models with a more limited part catalog like this. Would be a fun challenge.

TIL Brick Commander became a designer at LEGO and worked on high-profile sets like the UCS Millenium Falcon.

How much you wanna bet he designed the upcoming Trek set? His last design credit was last year's Black Friday Icons set, makes sense he would do this year's too.
