I have huge respect and admiration for Justice Shei.lah Martin - while she was a law professor and as a SCC Justice. I am sad to learn she is stepping down at the end of May 2026. Outstanding jurist. I certainly wish her well
#SCC Justice Sheilah Martin will retire early on May 30th.
This will be Carney’s first SCC appointment.

I admit my mind immediately focused on the 30% who do not survive at least 5-years post cancer diagnosis/treatment. For me I have cancer PTSD. No question about it. Treatment was successful for 2 cancers but the experiences left me with a lot of trauma. Very common. Still this is great news! 🙏
