Proud to be in this anthology! If you hear of a bus abandoned deep in the woods in NYS, I recommend you don't go "Digging for the Disappeared."

I have volunteered for a local food project for a long time. The main food banks have arrangements with a variety of suppliers. A dollar donated to a food bank feeds more people than dollars spent directly on groceries donated. Food banks, pantries, and projects always need volunteers as well.

Please remember that, as people lose their SNAP benefits, pets are at risk of being abandoned. Please donate to your local food pantry--food for humans AND their animal family members. Of course, monetary donations will help immensely.

In addition to being a great writer, @jeffvandermeer.bsky.social is a wonderful photographer. Do yourself a favor and read the alt text--not just for these images, but for all his posts. Hilarious!

I loved The Twisted Ones. That deer-thing still haunts me, years after reading. A genuinely creepy book--with enough humor to take the edge off. Still, that deer-thing...😳
Cancel my calls, if you need me, I’ll be gibbering in the corner.
@tkingfisher.com Stephen King says some nice words about your wonderful book. Just thought you'd like to know.
Just watched. What a fun movie! And that soundtrack! Feels like Anna made ME a mixtape πŸ’ΏπŸ’€πŸ–€

This is fabulous! Good on him for creativity and spreading joy. And good for both of you to have such a lovely friendship. Thanks for sharing; spreading examples of love and joy is what we all need right now. Bonus points for the Brady Bunch theme!

As a historian, I can certify that we are in the bad times. But bad times eventually end.
In the meantime:
β€’ Figure out a small way to help someone
β€’ Figure out a small way to fight back
β€’ Figure out a small place to find joy
β€’ Figure out a small way to grow and thrive

And do it often.

The bone buddies are still having a blast outside, celebrating the fact that they're skeletons.
When we gut the rights of anyone, we gut the rights of everyone. A decent society stands up for and with its most vulnerable. It's as simple and complicated as that.
Now that's horror! 😱

I could write a long, angry thread about how AI is the biggest act of piracy ever. About how it's stealing art from artists, words from writers... But fuck it, instead, let's go hard on circling the wagons, protecting those in our community, and amplifying the talents of those being robbed πŸ–€.
