Apparently when I'm sick all my walls come down. I can't stop crying. I just remember him, Spring before last, at an Airbnb, leaning back so content, and saying, maybe we can retire someplace like this. And now he's gone. No retirement together, all our plans are just pain in my heart. It's so bleak

I am Embracing The Power of Letting Go. I am saying goodbye to 2025 and walking my path with the trees as I stroll toward the sun😁☀️☀️

Woke up without a fever early this morning, and took advantage of it, in case it comes back. Cleared off my car, made sure I could get in and out of the driveway, and shovled my bare minimum landing pad/path in case I get deliveries. Now I'm going back to bed.

New year. Sick in bed. Must get the trash out. Must get a check mailed and it will probably still be late. Must dig out of my very, very long driveway. (Can't see the road from the house) Have to get back to work, no ppto left because of all the time I used with Steve. Not an auspicious beginning.

What a way to close out a perfectly fucked up year. Steve made me the best tea when I was sick ..

Guess I got one last Christmas gift. Woke up today with a relentless nonproductive cough. Thanks, whoever you were.

Lonely. Holiday let-down. Life let down, actually... I miss him.

THIS. My blood would boil every time a FAUX pundit tried to condescend about the honest labor in her past, as if it’s a character flaw. She’s still my hero. 💙

Well, I broke today. We haven't done anything for Christmas yet, because my Mom went to the hospital Christmas Eve, and my sons were still out of town. I've just been numb, and distracted from it being my 1st Xmas without Steve. It all hit me, tired after working overnight, and I can't quit crying.

163 years ago in Mankato, 38 Dakota men were hung in the largest mass execution in our nation’s history.

I’m grateful to the riders who continue to remind us the importance of fighting for accountability and healing for the Dakota people.
