When I turned 30 I had not yet written my first published book or my first published novel and did not know (or know of) some of the most important people in my life. I didn't know how much my life could still change, and did, after the age of 30. There is so much your life still yet to live.

The "AI" responses that Google gives about me and my work are consistently error-prone, which I know because I am me. If I know Google's "AI" responses give incorrect answers about things I know about, I can't trust it to give correct answers about things I don't know. So, no, I don't use it.

Find a way to get to know multiple people who hire (publishers, editors, developers), well enough they know and use your first name in a friendly manner.
No, I don't know how. But it is a HUGE help.

Then: choose your fights. Think about what matters most to you, and look for ways to fight for those things. Find people who are members of communities under threat and/or experienced organizers doing this work already, and ask them what they need. Help the people around you.
How do I fight? For anyone feeling like you don’t know what to do, I urge you to think hard about what matters most to you, and look for ways to fight for those things — particularly if you have specific skills that you can put to use. Are you a good writer? Tech savvy? A compelling leader? Good at coming up with new ideas? Find things that play to your strengths. And most importantly, find people who are members of communities under threat and/or experienced organizers doing this work already, and ask them what they need. Help the people around you. Be there for the people you love. What matters to me may not be the most important thing to you, and it’s easiest to keep fighting when you’re fighting for something you care deeply about.

Is there the equivalent guidebook like "Life in a Medieval Village/City/Castle" but written instead for "Life on a Space Station/Spaceship/Extraterrestrial Colony"? There's so much science that can go into a sci-fi story, but it seems like there isn't a good primer for those topics.
