The NWSL announced an expanded media rights deal for 2026/2027, adding a Sunday night slate on a free streaming service called Victory+. (Looks like that has mostly been a home for in-market NHL games until now.)

Rewatching the Rodman sequence, it annoys me that the broadcast’s storyline is never be about her and the Spirit figuring this out, it always has to be about who her dad is or who she is dating.

Obviously the correct choice is to stop scheduling summer games in the 12-4pm window, but for my whole life US pro soccer leagues have had to choose between bad ratings (& the loss of revenue that causes) & these increasingly unsafe windows to get to showcase their product. (1/2)
