Another twist in the story of Vastaamo/ Julius Kivimaki - the focus of my book. Prosecutors always said that Kivimaki was 'working alone or with others'. Perhaps this American is the 'others'.
I had only just squeezed in some updates for the US edition of the book a few days ago 😨
Little scoop: We can reveal a second individual charged today by Finnish prosecutors with attempted extortion of the Vastaamo psychotherapy center is a 28-year-old U.S. national called Daniel Lee Newhard, until recently registered as an entrepreneur resident of Estonia.
US national charged in Finnish psychotherapy center extortion
Finnish prosecutors allege that a U.S. national, Daniel Lee Newhard, played a role in extorting the psychotherapy center Vastaamo. Until now the case had centered on Aleksanteri Kivimäki.

Something about Zeekill that the world doesn’t know is that he was in prison from late-August right up until December 17th, 2014. Julius didn’t have access to a botnet, nor did he partake in the #LizardSquad 2014 Christmas DDoS attacks, and records of his incarceration were expunged from the news. 🤔

Got the news segment from CBS in December of 1989. To my knowledge this is the only publicly available contemporaneous clip of a news segment about the "AIDS" or "PC Cyborg" computer virus that was the first ever #ransomware attack. Literally a little piece of #hacking #history.
