And now CBC will carry Kristi Noem live and let her spew lies and falsehoods to all of Canada unvetted. Real journalism would listen to her presser, THEN decide what deserves broadcast, not live propaganda from a foreign country. I'm done with passive media, it's killing our society. #cdnpoli

There was no immediate threat. Clearly the agent who shot thought so too as he holstered his weapon immediately after shooting and leisurely walked over.

In my opinion - this should be a much bigger story and regulators and AI firms worldwide should be much more engaged.
If there’s no lines *at all* with GenAI, there will be harm.
Orgs and regulators can’t talk big about AI safety in public and then say nothing when this unfolds.

A lot of attention rightfully being focused on sexually charged images of children and women, but Grok is also being used to bloody up images of women, for example by adding bruises, cuts, or burns. Like non-consensual sexual imagery, these violent "morphs" can be threatening.

My provincial health denied my request for funding for a breast augmentation. I've been on HRT for almost 10 years so I suppose they consider the growth in that time enough.
I now have a quote from the clinic I went to for the request, just continuing my internal debate, is it worth it. 🙃

Why is your government still using the platform?
After being given an order from our CRT and instead of doing the right thing, X refused to fully remove a non-consensual intimate image of a BC resident from its platform. Blocking access to the image only within Canada is not enough. These harmful images shouldn’t be available anywhere.

As usual, she's got her facts backwards. The SOGI 123 stuff and Barry is background noise to the fact he defamed another School Board Trustee and was found liable for that. He's going to Jail for contempt of that ruling.

It’s been probably 15 years since I’ve built my own computer. I’m still amazed how much has changed since I last did it but at the same time still familiar.
Other than getting the RAM speed set correctly and some odd SATA performance issues was straightforward.

The budget vote PASSES 170-168. If my live vote page is correct, there were 2 NDP absences, 2 CPC absences. CPC absent: Matt Jeneroux and Shannon Stubbs. The Speaker also didn't vote, of course.

I’m happy the RCMP is recognizing their past wrongs. But, they need to stop trying to make it sound like ancient history, my deferral in March 2016 was explicitly because of my gender identity.
I was unsuitable for employment because I identified as trans but hadn’t transitioned.
