This is very good Congressional warfare. Nothing passes our of committee anywhere until the Epstein files are released.
With floor action ground to a halt by Speaker Johnson over Dem amendments on the Epstein files, House Democrats are now using them to jam up committees.
Includes Appropriations, Energy & Commerce, Financial Services, and Education & Workforce, which just shut down as Rs try to figure what to do:

For anyone who thinks I'm joking here (and it's funny, but no) rumor is that the National Guard deployed in LA was sent under a 29 day order to avoid housing allowances, which means they have to fully pay for their own shelter. In LA. Zero notice. Durable fascisms don't shortchange the muscle.
Sad as it is to say, the greatest consoling thought I have as we march towards a fascism is how unlikely it is to last not because people are brave, or moral, or prepared to combat it... but because it's expensive to maintain, and the man driving us to it couldn't even keep a fucking casino afloat.
