I pass it all the time on the outside but I don't think I've been in there since I was a kid and actually rememember any of it!

Private healthcare executives were invited onto Wes Streeting’s working groups to help draft Labour’s 10-Year Health Plan.

This is outrageous. A plan for the NHS should reflect the needs of patients and the public, not private sector interests.

A doctor holding a stethoscope with text reading “Who’s really shaping the future of the NHS? EveryDoctor reveals who was invited to the table. Swipe to find out.” The EveryDoctor logo appears in the corner. Text reads “The NHS 10-Year Plan should have been guided by those who know it best — frontline staff and patients. But private healthcare executives got a seat at the table.” Below are logos of InHealth, Spire (SV), United Healthcare, and Independent Healthcare Providers Network. A person in business attire grips a rope in a tug-of-war pose with text reading “Profit vs Patients. The plan includes partnerships with private firms, digital systems led by tech giants, and focus on cost-cutting, not care.” A quote from Dr Julia Patterson reads, “Why should the corporations which seek to profit from the NHS be allowed a seat at the table?” A background of the door to Number 10 Downing Street with text reading “Why It Matters. This could accelerate NHS privatisation with decisions being made behind closed doors.” A QR code and a red button labeled “Read more” appear below.

I *really* want more reporting on this because the book was pretty heavily vetted by lawyers in advance of publication….

This is so damn scary. The book claimed that Jeffrey Epstein was the one who introduced Donald and Melania. Now the CEO of Harper UK is out.

Apart from helping Comey's selective prosecution defense, this also means the president of the United States uses direct messages on Truth Social to communicate with cabinet officials.

I didn't know that, but we can be sure intelligence agencies all over the planet already did.

Whenever anyone says how much of the U.S. economy is tied to AI right now, I'm like...damn, what if a single rich person had any idea other than "try to zero out labor costs through theft."

Well yes, but most plans to reform it based on house prices are going to make London and the South East (and probs any of the other major city centres where a good amount of jobs are) even more unaffordable for the average person.
ftedit.ft.com
This often seems to benefit more affluent areas. Take Burnley. Most homes cost £125,000 and are in the lowest band A. They pay roughly £1,337 a year in council tax.

Compare that to Westminster, where the average house price is just shy of £1mn. They pay an average £1,057.

I need friends like this 👀🤣

Friend is a successful TV and film screenwriter. He gave me a writing credit for a film a few years ago as he reckoned it was inspired by a story I told him. It wasn't. No idea who told him the story but it wasn't me. I kept quiet though and it has basically paid off my mortgage.

The IPPR and Jamie O’Halloran can go fuck themselves ... maybe at their policy group there is a lot of drinking in the workplace but London is dead after work compared to pre-COVID for drinking.

Nah they voted for exactly this and encouraged the easily swayed who listen to them to vote for this. They just didn't think it would directly affect them.

Tossbags. After the administration officials... these "manosphere" influencers should be next on trial.

“I voted for none of this."

Prominent influencers, including Theo Von, Joe Rogan, and Andrew Schulz, are starting to distance themselves from the president they helped propel to the White House.
