Minna takes apart the Dim-Wit Pact with usual astuteness 👏👇

"The mind-boggling aspect of all this is that the US government keeps throwing such diplomatically unserious drafts at Ukraine & Europe, who then duly have to engage with them in good faith and try to make something reasonable out of it."

The war will end when Russia stops fighting. Therefore, pressure has to be put on Russia, so that they stop believing that they will win. Why is that so hard to understand?

Is Kyiv ready for the "toughest winter yet"? A top city official says encasing massive power plants in concrete is "unrealistic," but reveals Kyiv is spending billions on a new strategy: a network of smaller, protected mini-power plants. We learned about the city's defense plan from the deputy mayor

Made in Moscow: The “U.S. peace plan” for Ukraine was substantially formulated months ago by Kremlin operative Kirill Dmitriev
Since it was first published on Nov. 20, the much-discussed 28-point plan for ending the war in Ukraine has borne all the signs of a Kremlin information operation. In fact, many of its most controvers...

One addendum - without justice, lasting peace is unlikely in Russia's War in Ukraine. Even if somehow this is agreed to (and I seriously doubt that), it won't resolve matters. I expand here: theconversation.com/why-justice-...
Why justice for Ukraine must be at the forefront of peace negotiations
Although a ceasefire and negotiations may be a good first step, any chance at lasting peace in Russia’s war in Ukraine requires consideration of Russian war crimes.

Its hard to take in that Trump has normalized the idea of the United States supporting the transfer of territory and millions of people from a democracy to a dictatorship.

Their hardship and grief in Ruskij Mir will be beyond comprehension.

Trump and his pals wish the world to believe (1) that they have made America great again, and (2) that this great again America can do essentially nothing to prevent a country with a GDP the size of Italy grabbing its neighbour’s territory and people. Incredible.

As expected. Classic Russian move:

1) Slip in an impossible “peace” plan that’s just Ukrainian surrender.
2) Stoke fractures between the US, Europe, and Ukraine.
3) Reject any counter-offer.
4) Keep killing children and bombing hospitals in Ukraine.
5) Repeat.
