the visual shorthand for futuristic technology in a lot of mainstream media now is like "what if your phone or tablet was just a clear rectangle" bc they've run out of ways to make tech look "newer" and it's literally a terrible idea like why would u want that it would make reading so difficult

Yolo often stands with his little back toes crossed, which I find ridiculously cute!
You can see vultures don't have bulky feet and talons built for grasping/carrying like other raptors. Their more chicken-like feet are meant for bracing on food to pull at it with their powerful beaks, instead.

The first of the a-z monster list!!
The mighty Aarakocra, on the wing. This particular one is based on a Philippine eagle. This was a lot of work and a lot of studying, but I'm so happy with how it turned out. Soooo many feathers, but totally worth all the effort <3

Fun fact, a lot of classic movie sword sounds were done with metal kitchen tools, or overlayed with wooden dowels to add that "whooosh" effect.
And for punches, the iconic punches from Indiana Jones were done by hitting a pile of leather jackets.

been a while since i posted a recipe thread so here's the latest potful of vegan poverty slodge: Red Kibble (lovingly renamed since The Expanse but i've been making this for decades) It uses the very kibble-like Textured Vegetable Protein, so yeah the rename was a gimme.
