The current person in charge of ICE's procurement for detention is a GEO Group executive who ran the company's immigration detention portfolio. He was granted an "ethics waiver" from DHS allowing him to hand out contracts to GEO in his new role.

FALSE HERRING

The only things that the wealthiest people consume more than everyday people (cue Sly Stone) are: money, power, hired guns, trophy sexual partners and vastly inflated self regard.

Tricia McLaughlin is reportedly out at DHS, according to multiple sources. She’s a very close ally of Noem.

That news, plus stories like the below which are coming out daily, strongly suggest the knives are clearly out for Noem inside DHS.

I’m waiting for deep dives into:
— Has this series of illegal killings had any effect on the availability of heroin, cocaine or fentanyl in U. S.?
— Who are these people being killed, why are they engaged in what appears to be high-risk activity?
— Illegal drug use by people in the Trump orbit?
A reminder that these strikes are almost certainly illegal under both U.S. and international law.
The U.S. military has carried out strikes every 3 or 4 days since the new head of the Southern Command, Gen. Francis L. Donovan, took over last month after the previous leader, Adm. Alvin Holsey, abruptly retired. Holsey had expressed concerns about the strikes. www.nytimes.com/2026/02/17/u...

Magnificent opinion defending true history on President's Day.
On Presidents’ Day 2026, a 77-year-old federal judge in Philadelphia issued a ruling that blocks the Trump administration’s efforts to take down or otherwise excise information from Independence National Historical Park relating to George Washington’s ownership of slaves.

Law Dork:
A Presidents' Day lesson from Philadelphia
“Each person who visits the President’s House and does not learn of the realities of founding-era slavery receives a false account of this country’s history,“ Judge Cynthia Rufe wrote.
