When we started making these games in 2023, the stories we wrote and the situations we created were fantastical, coming from deep in the pocket of all the great #cyberpunk fiction I've read over 30+ years.

These games were a #loveletter to a wild, *fictional* future filled with megacorps and crime.
The #demos for Null State, Another Round, and One Last Job are available to play NOW on #STEAM

Set in a near-future #cyberpunk #dystopia with crumbling governments and extraterritorial megacorps, it's like today just with powerful AI…

…there IS? But it's the GOOD kind, right??
I shipped 3 cyberpunk things last year on Steam; go check them out:

I read a thing the other day, then watched a thing, and listened to a few things. Later, I'm going to play a thing with some friends before catching up on my favorite thing's episode before bed.

No, just use more specific words, or decide to call it all "things".

Thank you! Also: I guess unsurprising that "Atom Bomb" is probably the only thing in that list which could be remotely unique to the early 50s. Very neat!

I love that feeling of superiority, applying knowledge I've only just learned.

They've got a (fully funded!) kickstarter running here, if you like what you see:

We're Not in Harlem Anymore - a new short film
A proof of concept for a feature length pulpy throwback to classic detective stories that inserts Black representation into noir.

A couple years ago, I had a few conversations with the very talented writer/actor/comedian Tarik Davis about a character he developed based on the true story of a black detective working in 1930s LA.

Wow! He's taken that character and kept running with it all the way to a film:

That's Bingo, right? When she's doing her husband character in some of the games, haha

Any one of these would be a great pfp replacement for 2026! Very nice work from the photographer!!

I'd really like to know more about why folks thought people were going to church more often in 1954.

I've spent a good portion of the last few years of my life watching bluey, and I don't recognize that as a quote. It MAY be something Chilli says at the start of the Daddy Robot episode...

And so the cycle goes forever onward, as many game devs reward themselves by reading your books!
January 5, 2026 at 1:20 AM
Yeah, that would be ideal. Until then, I'm satisfied with seeing original posts + quote posts, personally -- I feel like most things that are really important to share with others are also worth adding a few words / a fresh perspective!
January 4, 2026 at 3:17 PM
In the bluesky app settings, I'm able to turn off reposts (while leaving on quote posts).

That's quite a thing to hear casually from a medical professional.

Hi Strix! I sent Tim an email, however I also wanted to ask you (though I'm not sure if you read and respond to your bsky posts -- test!): have you considered if collapse could also be mitigated by similarly-equipped models talking to each other about what they're doing, either over bsky or discord?
January 2, 2026 at 10:18 PM
If you're interested in LLM/AI tech/mind stuff and you've not seen what Tim has made with Strix (starting here: timkellogg.me/blog/2025/12...), I recommend giving this article (and the two Strix wrote for itself) a read.

Alternatively, that's extremely far away

I can only repeat what I've seen in every successful bskyer's welcome kit; when folks show up from twitter / insta, they expect the same algo-tricks and workflows to fly here. Instead, folks say you gotta have different behaviors here -- including reposting yourself in order to show up in timelines.

I used to love reorganizing my house, just fun to kinda live in a new space for a while -- as you said, like moving without the truck.

After I moved in with my wife, I started doing this one day. Halfway done with one room, she walked in and just said "no put it back." and that's how I stopped haha
December 29, 2025 at 9:15 PM
I got to the end of this but you didn't tell me global megacorps are the problem :(
December 29, 2025 at 8:33 PM
Apparently, onto yourself
December 29, 2025 at 8:31 PM
How do you know when a trailer is done?
December 29, 2025 at 6:55 PM
What's the biggest, easiest to fix mistake most people make with their trailers?
December 29, 2025 at 5:54 PM
Bluesky kinda works like that, and it's part of expected norms that you'll see folks repeating themselves over time in order to distribute a message more widely.
