at some point we're gonna have to have a real conversation about why we're still paying federal taxes to a regime that isn't using them to help anyone, but instead is using them to brutalize us

WHY NOT JUST DRAW IT YOURSELVES THEN DUMB FUCK
Larian CEO says Divinity could have gen AI assets in it but only if the tools are trained on the studio's own data.

"If we use a GenAI model to create in-game assets, then it'll be trained on data we own."

Grok is producing ~6,700 sexually suggestive or nudified images per hour

• Twitter (X) is now the top deepfaking site in the world

• Women who speak out become targets by users

The fact that the UK gov made the Online Safety Act so grown adults couldn't do anything without handing over all personal information, yet hang around on the same site that allows its users to sexually violate women and children on an unprecedented scale, says so much about them.
"Grok" is not producing these images on its own. It is a tool being used by thousands of people to sexually violate women and children en masse. Will the people using this tool ever be punished? Will they ever experience a fraction of the shame and ostracization that their victims must endure?

Paypal's only purpose is to transfer money.

It is not for comments even though it has a space for it.

It is not for reviews even though it asks you to.

It is not a notebook, even though you need to remember what payments were for.

Do not speak through it.

Do not write on it.

Pay in silence.
Commissioners and artists, be aware of this if you use the PayPal

Creative solidarity means:

If you're a writer, do not use AI "art" or AI "voiceover"
If you're an artist, do not use AI "writing" or AI "references"
If you're a streamer/actor, do not use AI for backdrops, thumbnails, etc.

Never help AI steal another medium

No excuses, no shortcuts, no surrender.

For all that the media has spent years freaking out about what social media does to our brains, I don’t understand why there appears to be little effort to grapple with the fact that these chatbots are, for some not insignificant portion of the population, literally psychosis machines

I will never understand why they replaced community submitted subtitles for this nonsense

Real human people were happy and willing to make subtitles in a variety of languages for free, and the creator had full control of what submissions were used

And they GOT RID OF IT
It finally happened. I finally ran into a Youtube video with that awful auto-dubbing feature turned on.

The video is an interview and it's... not even watchable now. Like the auto-dubbing is just saying random nonsensical words. 😭

Why did they ever think this was a good feature to implement?

Casual reminder to never give reviews of artists to paypal, EVEN POSITIVE ONES; theres zero benefit to it and puts both you and them at risk

If you want to say something positive about the artists work then either say it directly to them NOT THROUGH PAYPAL, or recommend them to all your friends
Apparently Paypal is now asking those who commissioned artists through invoices for feedback on the experience, Please never type anything, Its a trap. Just putting both yours and their accounts at risk of bans.
