People who say "you can't possibly read everything you cite" are saying a lot about themselves, IMO.

It doesn't have to be a heavy lift. I spend about half an hour a day processing new-to-me papers by organizing them in my reference managers & adding topical tags so I can create bibliographies.

Sahar’s account has been deleted again, in less than a day.

Please follow her and donate to help her son Odai ♥️

Did you all forget about Odai?
Odai was injured by a quadcopter over a year and a half ago.
Since that day, his life full of pain, inflammation
He still can’t walk normally, and his medications have run out.
Everyone moved on
but Odai is still here, suffering in silence.💔

Look at our situation...
Our homes have been destroyed, our security has been lost, and all that's left for us is hunger and pain.
Today, we are slowly dying from malnutrition, oppression, and helplessness in the face of the screams of our hungry children.💔

Donate to us🙏🏻😞

Oct 13 Rana update:

Bad news, everyone. Rana’s account has been ❌

I continue to be repulsed by 🦋 & the people who write & enforce their policies. This is intentional obstruction of humanitarian aid.

All Rana updates will be posted here now.

An illustration of a pink harpy (a mythical creature that is a combination of a woman in this case and a bird) with pale tipped wings in profile. She has turned her face to the viewer and looks surprised/frustrated as she holds a wriggling red snake in her mouth. The background is a light peachy pink An illustration of a walking wingless sphinx in profile moving to the right. She has bright red fur with a slightly darker spotted pattern on her back. Her face is pale with dark scleras and bright irises. She has a patch of light fur on her chest and tail An illustration of a red Hippocampus (a mythical creature half horse and half fish) with a pale strip down its body, pale fins, and a pale mane. It is in profile with its neck tucked in towards its body and mouth open. The background is a light peachy pink An illustration of a flying Mothman. He is airborne and has a dark body with red webbing in his wings and red antenna. His face is pale with his mouth twisted in an open scream, his eyes are wide and are red. If you accidentally post AI slop and are told “hey that’s AI” the correct answer is to go “aw shit I didn’t know” and delete it. Not “oh oops oh well, watcha gonna do” and keep it up because it’s giving you engagement. Stop it.

Well, it's official. After our paper last year (onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10....), the Slender-billed Curlew is officially declared Extinct today.

Kidnapped in international waters, extraordinary rendition to a genocidal state, and then imprisoned indefinitely.

You'd think this would trigger the immediate expulsion of the Israeli Ambassador for these inexcusable actions against an Australian citizen.

I truly don’t know what’s triggered it, but this phrase from Tacitus keeps coming to mind today:

“They make a desolation and they call it peace”.
