It is amazing that the lawyers for Texas tasked with defending Texas' racial gerrymander are essentially throwing both DOJ and the Governor under the bus.

A win! A federal judge has halted a Trump administration plan that relied on confidential tax records to target migrants for deportation. In a ruling issued today, the judge said the IRS improperly shared the tax information of several migrants earlier this year.

Oh that happened months ago, one of the first things they did was reduce the size of the BIA from 28 members to 15, thus purging every single Biden appointee.
Appeals go to the Board of Immigration Appeals. Are they replacing BIA judges too?

IJs aren’t even ALJs! They’re technically just attorneys working for DOJ, so they can’t be fired at will, and yet that is EXACTLY what they are doing; citing “Article II” to just fire anyone they deem insufficiently pro-deportation.
As a former ALJ ... ALJ is a terrible system and should never be part of an executive agency.

They are literally firing all the judges they think might grant relief. They just fired a friend of mine a couple hours ago. They have no shame. The bastards want an assembly line for deportations and nothing more; rubber-stamping bootlickers who’ll yes’sir at every new diktat to deny.
Instead of hiring more immigration judges, the Department of Justice just posted an ad for "deportation judges." join.justice.gov

US Congress voted 285–98 to condemn "socialism." 88 Democrats joined Republicans, including Hakeem Jeffries.

What they mean by socialism is your access to healthcare, housing, safety regulations, and anything that benefits you instead of the oligarchy. There has been no vote to condemn fascism. #3E

Flaming Shitbirds seems like a good band name. Also, vaccines do not cause Autism.
VACCINES DO NOT CAUSE AUTISM, YOU FLAMING SHITBIRDS.

THE LAST TIME HHS, AS CURRENTLY OCCUPIED BY RFK JR., CONDUCTED A “COMPREHENSIVE ASSESSMENT” OF THE CAUSES OF AUTISM THEY BLAMED TYLENOL AND THEN, BECAUSE IT WAS BULLSHIT, HAD TO WALK IT BACK.

A an angry reminder that

1. There is no causal link between vaccines & autism

2. Autism has a strong genetic component, involving ~500 genes

3. Tylenol is not linked to autism

4. RFQuack failed to get a journal to retract a large Danish study that showed no link btwn aluminum & autism

How awful. This is outright health disinformation, lying to the American people. Not only is there massive evidence showing no link between vaccines & autism, there’s not even a plausible mechanism based on what we’ve learned about the genetics of autism, some environmental exposures in pregnancy
HEADS UP: CDC website now officially asserts that vaccines may cause autism.“Studies supporting a link have been ignored by health authorities.” Also says the “vaccines do not cause autism” header remains b/c of an agreement with Cassidy.

This is completely disgusting. Today, the CDC updated their vaccine safety page. It now says:

“The claim "vaccines do not cause autism" is not an evidence-based claim because studies have not ruled out the possibility that infant vaccines cause autism”.

As an Autistic and a parent of an Autistic, I find this very insulting and alarming.
The CDC has updated its vaccine safety page to promote long-discredited claims about vaccines—namely that they cause autism.

The page links to a number of studies, including one by anti-vax allies of Robert Kennedy Jr.
