So I did a thing!

If you’d like to have my art pop up in your feed sporadically, follow my new art account 🎨

It’ll be a seemingly random collection of art covering #Netball #Cricket #ChronicIllness #Disability #pwME #MECFS #BloomScrolling #Nature #SciArt #Illustration #KidLitArt and more 😅

⬇️
Obligatory intro post!

I’ve decided it was time to have an account just for my #art.

You’ll find an eclectic mix of nature, cricket, netball, portraiture, chronic illness & disability… & whatever else takes my fancy that day!

My main medium is digital art, plus some photography & watercolour.

A beam of light in the darkness of the world from Naarm last night.

I'm proud to live in a state that has accomplished something so important in passing Australia's first Indigenous treaty.

Always was, always will be Aboriginal land 🖤💛❤️
Well I got that right and wrong.

Aus didn’t get enough runs.

Aus maybe didn’t need the extra runs if we’d held onto the catches.

Jemi was the one who who I should have been scared of 😅

So so happy for Jemi though 🥹

It’s an odd feeling to have scored such a big total, but feel like it could have been 50+ more if Litchfield and/or Gardner had stayed in longer.

Maybe it’s because no score feels big enough when Mandhana is batting against Australia 😅

Remember when everyone seemed to be complaining a couple of weeks ago there was no point in staging (or watching) Women's World Cups, because you knew who would win?

If the last 10-15 years of women's cricket seemed to develop at a dizzying rate, it will look like nothing compared with what's about to come.

If most boards don't find ways of rapidly professionalising their domestic systems, they will very quickly fade from being remotely competitive.
Also if you think the Australian era of dominance (which hasn't seen back to back ODI World Cup wins since 1988) got a bit samey, you're about to see what happens when a multi-billion dollar machine goes up against a sport in which domestic players in most nations don't have professional contracts.

Stats highlights and trivia from the 2nd semi-final of the Women's Cricket World Cup.

Jemimah Rodrigues played the innings of her life, as India completed a world record chase to knock-out Australia.

It’s so comforting to know I’m not the only one with these complex feels 😆

On paper we should only feel joy…
It’s nice to be reminded that we do have some sort of a tail 🤪
Unfortunately I must sleep. So likely won’t hear much/any of the chase innings.

Must remember in the morning to not internet until I’ve caught up to avoid spoilers. Always a challenge to remember when half asleep. But setting a cricket related lock screen does help me 😅

Not an impossible chase for India, but I do think their openers will need to make at least half the runs between them. Would strongly not recommend them going 1-3.
Literally what I was thinking too!!

Australia bowled out but not before posting 338 (49.5).

Phoebe Litchfield 119 (93)
Ellyse Perry 77 (88)

Sree Charani 2-29
Deepti Sharma 2-73

India require the highest successful chase in women's ODI history.

If you're unaware of Ash Gardner's issues with the short ball and history of concussion, you probably shouldn't be employed by the ICC to commentate on the semi-final of the Women's World Cup.
If we didn’t see it, it didn’t happen right?
Thankfully their tv feed is better than mine cause we’ve lost tv coverage.

Aaaaand during that technical outage we missed a wicket. Huzzah for the tv/radio combo 😅

Ahh yep none of them are on tonight.

ADR. Mel?

I’m now blanking on all their names 🙃
Also, suggesting Kingy should come in before Sutherland and Gardener and McGrath and Molineux… is a choice 😆

Are the BBC radio commentators at the ground? Or remote?

Oh that’s helpful stats thanks!
Do we still consider doubling the score about par?

Are we thinking Aus should be aiming for about 400 from here?! 😳

Does anyone know how to upload multiple brushes/ a whole set/folder into the #procreate brush libraries?

It’s offloaded all my non default brushes for some reason and I can’t bare uploading them all individually 🫠

This has been quickly rammed through by the government, and deserves media coverage

The government is amending legislation to allow them to cancel welfare payments of people who are merely ACCUSED of a crime. Deeply authoritarian and absolutely insane to administer
Government amendments providing new powers to stop welfare payments to fugitives subject to a warrant for a serious violent or sexual offence have been added to the Social Security and Other Leg. Amendment (Technical Changes No. 2) Bill 2025 prior to passing Reps. parlinfo.aph.gov.au/parlInfo/sea...
