This is a really interesting article about a horrifying distortion of sign language happening in the UK, and which its creators are now trying to export to other countries and their sign languages

Learn actual sign languages from Deaf people, not from hearing people making their own weird versions!

Ok fine.
AI advocates have warned that if every author in the class action filed a claim, it would "financially ruin" the entire industry.
Authors celebrate “historic” settlement coming soon in Anthropic class action

Long before “lying flat” became a modern slogan, the Tang Dynasty’s Xiangshan Nine Elders, including the poet Bai Juyi, had already perfected the art of quiet resistance.
Retreating to Mount Xiang, they turned their backs on imperial ambition, choosing calm

Think of the ‘island’ in ‘Epstein’s island’.

When the art world continues to give extreme monetary value to paintings of children in danger from the painter, under colonisation, it is a society that strips meaning from children’s rights and indigenous land rights simultaneously.

This is ambient.

‘Death remains my intimate shadow partner. It has been with me since birth, always hovering close by. I understand one day we will finally waltz together into the ether. I hope when that time comes, I die with the satisfaction of a life well-lived, unapologetic, joyful, & full of love.’

No, no, no, no, no.

We will always love you and your work, Alice. Thank you for being the brightest of lights.

Alice has supported my work for years, w much kindness behind the scenes, & this was so for so many other disabled people trying to join her in changing this world.

She was a one of one.
You were incredible, Alice Wong, and it was a blessing to have collaborated with you on projects, to have read your words and to have heard your voice, as full of life and passion and joy and rage as it was.

You made a difference—so much of a difference.

Rest always in peace, and always in power.

"In Annah, Infinite, the dominant narratives surrounding Paul Gauguin’s famous painting turned upside down.

What if the portrait is ... a child in pain?"

An experimental work of creative non-fiction that challenges art history, confronts colonial ableism, and reclaims a stolen spirit.

The identity of Sarah Kendzior, researcher on authoritarian states, and Sarah Kendzior's content discussing authoritarian states are...not really easy to separate.

So I'm struggling to see this as a response.
False attribution. If a person is suspended it is because of their identity? Could it not be because of their content? I wrote about it here aaron.leaflet.pub/3m52nqqmk322v
