As a media person, I am probably paying a real cost by refusing to engage with Threads. I just can't do it.
Firstly, Facebook is an evil company and I want less of them in my life.
Secondly, every time I opened Threads it served me an awful stream
of garbage that made me upset and angry.

but the issue is there SHOULDN'T be a single app that does everything and that everyone is on. That's how you run into these kind of situations. Discord replaced forums, voice chat services, and live text chat services with convenience and now they are showing why having swappable parts is best

Wish more people were taking the Discord problems seriously and were willing to actually do something about it. Everyone wants the convenience of a centralized platform even if it's going to cost them their identity. Even a lot of people open to alternatives are waiting until there's a consensus
