Did Sony learn NOTHING from K-pop Demon Hunters??????
Matt Braly has revealed that his feature film, co-written with Rebecca Sugar, has been scrapped at Sony Pictures Animation.

The project centered on a young boy who embarks on an emotional journey into a fantastical realm of Thai spirits, hoping to find a cure for his illness.

Sappy post alert: Befriended a fellow ATINY from Italy at the Golden Hour Pt4 pop-up event in Seoul — love how K-pop brings people together (with international fans banding together in mutual confusion).

Yeah, going to be adding “does not use AI in surgery” to my list of criteria for a surgeon. Any surgeon. Absolutely not.
When AI was added to a tool for sinus surgery: “Cerebrospinal fluid leaked from one patient’s nose. In another… a surgeon mistakenly punctured the base of a patient’s skull. In two other cases, patients suffered strokes after a major artery was accidentally injured”

As AI enters the operating room, reports arise of botched surgeries and misidentified body parts
Medical device makers have been rushing to add AI to their products. While proponents say the new technology will revolutionize medicine, regulators are receiving a rising number of claims of patient ...

Knowing there are direct flights to Asia from Dulles is going to be so bad for my wallet. Gonna become one of those people that’s like “I’m itchy in DC, gonna fly to Seoul/Taipei for a few days, bye”

Really feel that the people who didn’t like watching Bad Bunny’s halftime show are sad, joyless people in general. Can’t be helped, I guess!

If you are in charge of a large organization of any kind that cuts jobs, but particularly one that employs journalists, part of what you get paid so much money for is looking angry and disappointed people in the eye while they yell at you.

If you don’t want to do that, don’t be the big boss.
I've written about the overarching post story, causes, underlying pattern. But the failure of Lewis or Bezos to even show up, literally or figuratively, on a day of devastating cuts epitomizes the profound lack of character and accountability that is so common place today within the American elite.

DC friends, please stay warm!
STRONG MESSAGING about the seriousness of the cold and wind on Saturday from the National Weather Service. Power outages possible. Longest period with subzero wind chills in 30+ years.

A good day to stay inside, or bundle up big time if you have to be outside.

Unfortunately, I know just enough Mandarin to convince people I understand them when they speak to me (I sometimes do, but usually don’t lol).

I *think* my chin was complimented but I also can’t be sure lmao

One more comment on the Post debacle: this hurts journalism broadly. Good journalists will go do something else. The rest will be fighting for fewer jobs and everyone will earn less. Fewer people will take up the career. The damage done is to the ecosystem, as well as the paper.

Like what’s the point now of being a billionaire and owning a newspaper? At least the robber barons gave some of what they stole back to the public.

I resent how difficult it is for me to walk in DC right now. Roads are cleared *for cars* but the pedestrian situation is absolutely ridiculous.

“A loveless revolutionary is just a terrorist.”
