Was told by a vet that you can 'probably' perform CPR on a snake, and all I could think was...
a man wearing a party hat is drinking from a bottle
Alt: A fella in a party hat blowing one of those party streamer things that unroll as you blow into them. Whether snakes give a merry toot when you do this to them isn't mentioned in the scientific literature. Yet.

“I can’t take #Strictly seriously anymore” cries Adam, who really needs something serious in his life. How could the public vote for dance beginners who have mastered the ballroom against all the odds, rather than West End performers? Durr. apple.news/AIM-ehiOeTdO...
I can't take Strictly Come Dancing seriously anymore — Metro
Can the British public be trusted with anything? If Strictly Come Dancing is anything to go by, clearly not.

“Let them be kids!”

But Victoria passed the Adult Time for Violent Crime legislation which can send 14 year olds to adult jails.

Which is it you want them to be? Adults or children?

Or simply not seen or heard at all?

Don't forget people, Christmas light blockers are a safe, reversible intervention that helps stabilise distress and allows time for considered decision-making.
Q: how are Christmas lights like puberty?

A: contrary to popular belief they are not arriving significantly earlier than they did in the mid-20th century
The main fact that stuck with me after writing a book about British Xmases is that The Times was complaining about decorations going up in October back in the *1930s*, Selfridges has had decorations up in Oct since at least the 1950s and the whole “earlier every year” thing is generally bollocks

So love wobbegongs. Everything is good about the wobbegong. Its name. Its flattened Oscar the Grouch face. Its frondy bits. Its lazy life as a hungry rug. And it’s a shark. Outstanding animal 10/10
The Tasselled Wobbegong is a master of disguise that can eat a fish almost as big as itself in one gulp. It's classified as a shark, but when it lays on the sea floor it looks like a harmless rug if you manage to see it. But with powerful jaws and sharp teeth they are no fish to mess with.

I most certainly want to be part of the virtual chain. Wombat is one of the very best humans. #circleofloveforwombie

I’m also very much thinking of his family x.
Friends of @wombat37.bsky.social unite!

By quote reposting this, I’m hoping to make a virtual chain of people around Wombie. Full of love and happy memories of this great friend of ours, so he can feel us making a huge circle of love and care around him.

Are you in?

Judge bias all too clear to see in their commentary on dance off #strictly - when will the producers etc learn that the public do not like inherent unfairness

Not only that, but people died needlessly due to classism and bad organisation
Titanique seems to forget that it was in fact a tragedy in which hundreds of real people died #Strictly

Good luck to both Amber and Lewis, both tricky routines to try and get right a second time. I'm sure their professional dancing experience and careers in musicals will stand them in good stead! #Strictly

#Strictly so the two ones with previous dance experience are in the bottom two. We public like to see novices improve don't we?

(Also the two brand new professionals are in the semis too).

Absolutely mad decision to completely censor the lyrics of Cell Block Tango on #strictly. Apparently all the women in Cook County jail are in prison for... breaking up with their boyfriends??
