An extra £30k would be life changing for an indie artist. There isn’t any reason to be paying for Spotify any more

A lot of social stuff is on Spotify but it doesn’t have the hold of Facebook. It would just take a little threshold of people switching to Apple and Tidal for that to be totally undone
"If everyone who streamed All Hell on Spotify had done so using Tidal instead, we would have received an extra £31,847.38, which would double the amount we made from streaming of the album in this time period. Or if everyone used Apple Music it would have been £12,331 more."

HR departments countrywide need to start treating gendercrit employees as potentially hostile. As soon as you are required to interact with one, you dust off the rulebook, you dot every eye and cross every t, and you assume bad faith at every turn.

They are a threat to every organisation.

All the claims against Dr. Beth Upton failed.

She’s entirely vindicated and her evidence was found more reliable.

Let’s see if a single paper actually represents that fairly…

Fascinating study in “cis het success” through Sandie Peggie’s failure, that’s what they think winning looks like pals 😂 it’s fascinating to see press refuse to cause their cis readers alarm by accurately reporting that a cis woman, a nurse no less, lost to a trans woman. Inconceivable stuff!

Something a lot of people miss is that in many ways the pre Oct 2023 status quo rested upon the idea that the Palestinian question didn't need solving. Pretty much everyone thought Oslo had permanently rendered the Palestinians docile and that there no longer was a need for a political resolution.
Well the fence is illusory and will never work, that's why expulsionism is more popular than ever.

Sue, you're shouting at biscuits
I'd pay good money just to see her argument for these biscuits being "biologically male"

The tribunal found that GC heroine and darling of the right wing press, brave Nurse Peggie, had transphobically harassed her colleague and shared racist jokes in group chats. NHS Fife are perfectly entitled to allow a trans woman to use women's changing rooms. And Forstater is not an expert.

Oooft. Sandie Peggie shared highly offensive messages and was then "untruthful" in giving evidence to the Tribunal.

This is the 'hero' Gender Critical campaigners have chosen.

This is a real disaster for those - pretty much the entirety of the British media - advancing a maximalist reading of the For (Some) Women Scotland decision.

I think at this stage we should point out: kicking up a huge legal fuss, losing hugely on all the merits, and playing up a ruling in your favour over a minor technical or procedural point, is a well established strategy in the UK *because* the press will absolutely 100% play along with it.
Two ways to read this. One is “she lost on every substantive claim, completely failed in her attempts to ban trans staff from the workplace, and won mild procedural victories against her employers handling of her case”.
The other way is, I guess, “point one is longer so it must be more important”

Yes! If people had the humility to grasp this one thing, gosh we'd avoid so much unnecessary suffering. (I have been guilty of not understanding this in the past, because thinking of oneself as Not Easily Fooled is a great way to become smug, hidebound & prejudiced)
Just because you are unable to imagine how someone else’s mind works does not mean that person’s mind does not work like that

I work with children and adults

The adults are the problem. Half the schools still use Facebook for comms and resource sharing and are telling students to use the disinformation network that is LLM

But if I speak …
im not concerned about young ppl being able to determine what is misinformation online

im concerned about middle aged ppl being able to determine what is misinformation online. especially politicians, journalists, judges, solicitors, and medical professionals

This commercial for French's Mustard from 1987 is equal parts charming and also kinda unsettling, but what strikes me is the work that went into the absolutely delightful puppetry and practical effects for a *mustard commercial*!! Imagine that today??

Should go without saying, but if protections against torture are preventing your policies being implemented then it isn't the protections which are the issue.

There's no difference, for those affected, here from leaving the ECHR if rights are removed anyway.
