In general, organizing enemies lists, especially on a large and media-connected public platform has predictable effects, which is private harassment, and threat, plus professional punishment. In is the antithesis of a commitment to speech and dialogue.
But others were explicitly threatening violence against her. “‘I’m going to rape you in front of your children,’ that’s my least favorite hate mail,” Nielsen said. “For a while, I [told] my husband, ‘I need you to read my emails, and just put them somewhere.’ And then my husband could not do it.”

What followed was an avalanche of aspersions and debunked claims about Floyd, the Black man whose death at the hands of a Minneapolis police officer set off a global reckoning over racial injustice and broad calls for change. But the white conservative agitator had a counter view: Floyd was a "scumbag," he said, unworthy of the attention.

He also said Ghislaine Maxwell was moved to a minimum securithy prison as "a benefit to keep her mouth shut."

This is not surprising, but so appalling. About 180 FEMA staff members knew they would be risking their jobs to communicate the degradation of emergency response under Trump tells you how bad things are.
We can't say we were not warned, but the people who warned us are being punished for doing so.
