Today is a day when arts degrees are worthless, but the product of those degrees is so valuable it would kill an entire industry if they were made to pay for it.

Does the news reflect what we die from?
The image presents a comparison of the leading causes of death in the United States for 2023 and the media coverage these causes receive from three news outlets: The New York Times, The Washington Post, and Fox News.

In the footer, it notes the data sources, indicating that the information is based on media mentions from Media Cloud (2025) and death data from the US CDC (2025) and the Global Terrorism Index, with a clarification that values are normalized to sum to 100%.

The historically volatile Texas grid was entirely stable this summer, despite extreme temperatures. Grid operators never once had to ask Texans to conserve energy or shut off their air conditioners.

Why? Solar & batteries. Want a stable grid? Try solar & batteries.
Solar and batteries had a record-setting, grid-stabilizing summer in…
Solar has set 17 power generation records in Texas so far this year, shoring up the grid alongside batteries as some gas plant developers step back.

This image was posted on X today by a Chicago Tribune reporter. Trump’s government has declared war on the American people — or some of them, based on race.

Republicans and the business elite were hoping that Trump would be, as Wm. F. Buckley described Spanish fascist dictator Franco, “only as oppressive as it is necessary to be to maintain total power.” They weren't reckoning on Trump & Miller's total depravity.

I kinda remember Trump pardoning a bunch of people for this, many of whom beat up cops and put them in the hospital. I think they were yelling something about the Vice President as they stormed the building.

It's a pretty big deal that the NYC Bar Association--one of the most prominent and respected bar associations in the country--is accusing the President of ordering the "unlawful summary execution," i.e. murder--of civilians in violation of US and international law. www.nycbar.org/press-releas...

As I recently wrote, "globalist" has long been a term that antisemites have used to attack and demonize Jews.

Stephen Miller is a dangerous madman living in a world of his own making. I really can’t believe there isn’t more discourse around the madness we are witnessing each day.

Sending troops from Texas to forcefully occupy and suppress cities in Illinois and Oregon IN OPPOSITION TO THOSE STATES' GOVERNORS is literally a civil war and it's cooking my brain that Democrats are simply pretending it isn't happening

This is a breathtaking abuse of the law and power by the President of the United States.

America is on the brink of martial law.

This evening, President Trump is ordering 400 members of the Texas National Guard for deployments to Illinois, Oregon, and other locations within the United States. No officials from the federal government called me directly to discuss or coordinate.

can never forget that Fred Trump spent his later years totally gaga but surrounded by a gaggle of senility-denial-enablers who drove him to a make believe office where a make believe secretary had him sign make believe papers—which sounds cute til you see the sequel & the secretary is Stephen Miller

hey @nytimes.com: there is no counterpoint here. There are no credible legal experts who would EVER say that the US military has any right or authority to blow civilian craft out of the Caribbean and kill their crews from afar without any provocation. There is no other side to this question.
"Some legal experts have called it a crime to summarily kill civilians not directly taking part in hostilities, even if they are believed to be smuggling drugs."

Klein is catching flak from the left both for not thinking about the right and for giving its spokespersons a platform. Even as someone who, like Coates, recognizes the power of the illiberal tradition, I find that unfair and an evasion of the big question: How do we win?

2) AND, they still lost $790,000,000 even after selling like this. EVERY university, hell, every organization, company and institution should take not that conceding NEVER works.
