There's a ban on any Pokemon that can't be obtained more than once per save file (so Pokemon like Raging Bolt, legendaries and Blood Moon Ursaluna) and also Flutter Mane.

The format follows VGC pretty closely, so it'll be doubles, choose four out of the six Pokemon you have to go to battle.
