Unpopular opinion: Yes, it's bullshit that Ghislane Maxwell is getting better treatment in prison than everyone else because she praised Trump. But it's much bigger bullshit that incarcerated people are treated so horrifically that toilet paper is considered a privilege.

Decided to have another go at trashing myself from 15 years ago and write a response to my old pamphlets. For some reason I feel like I need to clear this cruft out of my brain so I can write my actual politics clearly. So expect thousands of barely comprehensive words soon!

I hate this so much. As it happens Horselover Fat was living his life (it was not normal but he was keeping it together) whilst being blasted with pink light. People have all kinds of weird experiences and beliefs and just keep on living. Those beliefs are not the problem with ChatGPT.
I'm literally just living a normal life while also experiencing a theophany via communication with the satellite called VALIS.

2 - He promised to come back to me on some issues I raised. He gave my child hope that he cared about his wellbeing. Then, they banned the blockers anyway. He has ignored us since that meeting. He never got back to me on the points I raised.

I was never as close to the industry, but I knew enough people doing world tours and then coming home to temp shifts in factories that I knew the score. It's why I never gave a shiny shite about piracy and neither did most indie labels and bands.
Every conversation had the same lesson - do not expect to make any money as an original musician, ever.
Bands I knew were doing 3000 people a night for months on a sensible budget and not making a penny, or even a loss. Every chat was "my tech makes more than me!"

It's kinda miserable watching what happened to musicians happen to authors. Traditional publishing getting less and less interested in doing the things that help people starting out and instead looking to parasitise the work they do to build their own audiences is the record company model.

The extent to which we can reach parents and stop them from cooperating with this is gonna be crucial. Any trans kid engaging with the NHS *at all* will be harmed more than they would be by simply leaving their dysphoria untreated (and way way more than DIY on the quiet).
This is in addition to some awful physical tests, an abusive assessment and approval process, awful coercion, terrible and abusive power dynamics, it is just so bad.
