While at Yallfest I kept trying to think of ways to say "I don't personally consider Bree & Sel to be 'enemies-to-lovers' in Legendborn because they don't fit my personal definition of that trope. You'll know what I mean when I write it." without sounding menacing and villainous, but couldn't.

does anyone have any advice/tips for how to stay in the tense you're writing in. sometimes editing is such a hassle for me because i'd realise halfway through the chapter that i've switched from past to present tense and will have to cry.
