how the fuck is this sort of idiotic bullshit being published? The person who wrote this should be bullied into destitution.

Compared to Dylan and Springsteen, country-music legend Johnny Cash can seem deeply uncool. It took time for me to appreciate his profound, plainspoken strength, writes Jon Fasman.

recruiting is a wasteland, fucken NO ONE is joining. They've thrown so much fucking money at this and cannot fix it because they spent 25 yrs feeding kids into a woodchipper to suck off John Howard. Reap what you sow, cunts.

Why does the idiot wing always win? Inherited wealth and inbreeding I guess.

The bemusing part of this is even though the Qld coal fleet is youngest in the country, they won't last to the 2040s. The Qld government knows this - but throwing red meat to their idiot wing and their donors is an aesthetic I suppose.

its very insane there doesn't seem to be a media outlet in that country that will point out 'antifa' is an imaginary villain. It literally does not exist.

Gonna be thinking about this lede for a minute.
(RNS) — Last month, the Rev. David Black stood in front of a Chicago-area U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility and spread his arms wide. Adorned in all black and wearing a clerical collar, the pastor looked up at a group of masked, heavily armed ICE agents on the roof and began to pray.

“I invited them to repentance,” Black, a minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA), said in an interview. “I basically offered an altar call. I invited them to come and receive that salvation, and be part of the kingdom that is coming.”

But when Black began to lower his arms a few seconds later, the agents responded to his spiritual plea by firing pepper balls, or chemical agents that cause eye irritation and respiratory distress, video footage shows. One struck Black in the head, exploding into a puff of white pepper smoke and forcing him to his knees. Fellow demonstrators rushed to his aid, and as the pastor rubbed his face in pain, the agents continued to fire.

“We could hear them laughing,” Black said.

Stephen Miller: "Eventually elections don’t carry the day because violence beats votes… When we see a muscular response from the federal government, it’s because we’re not going to let violence beat votes."

Is he implying federal intervention determines political legitimacy, not ballots or courts?

Maiden has been finding toxic, destructive politicians "interesting" for a long time. Indicates why it's bad to have the same people as journalists in Canberra. They get so bored that they lose perspective. First it was Abbott, then Morrison, then Dutton, now Hastie.

FFS. Maiden attempting to tell us that denying climate change and xenophobia makes Andrew Hastie an ‘interesting cat’. Seriously. This is what passes for political comment on our ABC in 2025. #insiders

I am inclined to agree with a lot of what is said in this piece about Albanese. There's a lot of instant, often performative rage in response to everything he does. Not a lot of calm, considered analysis. www.abc.net.au/news/2025-10...
Albanese's groundwork is starting to come to fruition
This week feels like it's time to officially add Albanese Derangement Syndrome to the diagnostic and statistical manual of political disorders.
