yeah like i still wouldn’t like that, but at least he’d be conscious about it and burden himself w the weight of his choices, whatever those may be. to try and firefight and pull rank instead of just being transparent and resolute is where the real bs is for me

i said it the other day when it came to light re: third crush, but what bugs me the most is his lack of honesty in his statement. there CAN be artistic merit to using any tool, even if i personally have issues w it, but him dancing around what he used and how displays such a lack of integrity

i guess some people would rather be a font or a brand than an artist and it’s hard to not feel hurt by that when it’s a pivot coming from someone i rly respected

even calling these track his “ideas” is prob a step too far. for sabrepulse to say “this is sabrepulse enough” twd something that was never incepted by him is his prerogative but it’s one i distinctly do not respect

it’s not even his experimentation w sora that bugs me. i don’t judge based on that.. it’s that he’s fully conflating it with the rest of his output and putting on airs that there’s no meaningful difference between stuff he’s made and ideas he just wanted to hit print on without journeying

still p upset by the sabrepulse stuff. making art for me personally, has become more challenging with time, but the love of art is what allows me to rise to that challenge. making the choice to circumvent the challenge in entirety displays to me a distinct lack of love for the craft
