I guess I'm still writing very eggy Ranma fic, and this one is definitely my silliest yet. A bit more... racy isn't quite the right word, but definitely more proactive Akane. Please enjoy! archiveofourown.org/works/79357286

I wish people understood how much unseen labor goes into every visible ounce of activism

and how much labor by so many people towards change is deliberately invisible and never meant to be known

The thinking is about the reactionary push, not the opinion of gen x and older people in America. I know that's objectively true because they're the ones who love to pop off the most and they're the ones practically frothing to throw us under the bus, hoping Newsome can save them from Tranny Future.

I do actually think one of the really profound reactionary pushes globally is that trans women will just be seen as normal in one generation and they're fucking scromiting about it. This does include gen x and older liberals - they tolerated us but thinking about us being normal is gross to them.

Bluesky was literally meant to be a cryptobro social network for grifters, LinkedIn sludge, and libertarians who know way too much about age of consent laws.

Jack Dorsey *left* when instead of weird and off-putting cryptonerds, trans people started hanging out here.
Can you think of examples where people use technologies differently from what the developers intended, whether unintentionally or as an act of resistance?

We are at an airport restaurant. A robot just drove up to us with our food, said, "Hi! Here I am!" and then drove away with our food.

The only good use of technology is being able to emergency text a friend to get their opinion on if it’s safe to eat a day old sausage roll that was left on the counter.

(Verdict: yes!)

I went to this person's channel and they are like an actual AI bro who genuinely buys into it learning. I cannot understand how you can be dealing with this daily and not want to end the people who made the technology. However it is hilarious to watch him struggle

Seems Neil Patrick Harris and I agree he shouldn’t have played Hedwig. He drops this line in Berlin, of all places.
I asked actor Neil Patrick Harris about political art at #Berlinale today. He didn't want to engage and said: "I'm always interested in doing things that are apolitical".

Notepad should not know what the internet is. If you have notepad talking to remote servers you're already like 10 steps into a "factors leading to" slide.

What the heck are they doing over there
The AI features added to Notepad created a critical exploit vulnerable to loading a compromised txt file.

The fix is part of Patch Tuesday, so update your systems.

AI is not a feature I ever desired in Notepad. I should look into some alternatives...
AI-upgraded Notepad now exposes Windows users to critical exploit
A critical remote code execution vulnerability found in the AI-upgraded Windows 11 Notepad has fueled renewed criticism of Microsoft's forced AI feature creep.

When you’re a UK trans woman, you roll invisible dice every day before work. All sixes, and a coworker with billionaire money will take your employer to court over you, you will be on the news, and when you leave the country, men with abuse allegations against them will call it a victory for women.

THis is actually a really good illustration of why LLMs are just...kind of not that good at a lot of the things they're sold as being good at: The thing doesn't fucking understand or know what the question is, it's doing pattern recognition and that breaks down on a long enough timescale.

If you live in the US, call your fucking representatives and tell them that repealing Section 230 is a horrible idea. If Section 230 is gone, you can kiss Bluesky goodbye.
Reminder that they're still trying to repeal section 230 (thereby making platform holders like bsky legally responsible for content posted by their users etc etc)

There is still a need for you to blow up your rep's phones on this if you enjoy being able to do things like "post" or "have an porn"
