I'm glad I don't know how many people have pirated my games, because that knowledge would just be depressing.

If you look at the reddit forums now, people talk about how each new league is "dead" in less than a week because they're already farming the uber post-campaign bosses. Their experience is so far from that of an average player.

It's crazy that the games where every party member is female are still just hovering around 50%. And FF6 is an ensemble cast, but the two leads (Terra & Celes) are both female and it's one of the lowest ratios.

I think this is the first time I've seen an actual measurable effect on sales from a post on a social media platform. This Way Madness Lies sold 20+ copies the first day and over a dozen copies the second day. It usually only sells when it's discounted on Steam.

The amount of people I know who have been laid off from games industry jobs and are deciding to leave games entirely as a result is not only extremely saddening (of course), but also genuinely scary. We have lost legitimately thousands of years of knowledge and experience in the last four years.
