Since February, according to my latest analysis, almost 600,000 Black women have been economically sidelined. The November 20, 2025, Jobs Report makes clear this isn’t a blip. It’s a structural crisis. That is not a recovery. It is a redistribution of opportunity.

the multi-year lack of a truly functional manuscripts catalog at the BL is finally over!!!!
Latest update from @britishlibrary.bsky.social says they are launching a new version of their main catalogue on Monday 8 December and around that time also launch an interim version of their Archives and Manuscripts Catalogue. Hooray!

@nytimes.com: call a lie a lie challenge
Breaking News: Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said he personally instructed the CDC to abandon its position that vaccines do not cause autism. The move underscores his determination to challenge scientific orthodoxy — in this case, that vaccines save lives — and bend the health department to his will.
RFK Jr. Says He Instructed CDC to Change Vaccines and Autism Language on Website
In an interview, Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. cited gaps in vaccine safety research. His critics say he is ignoring a larger point: Vaccines save lives.

I love the @metmuseum.org. It enriches the lives of NY’ers and visitors from across the world.

That’s made possible by the people who make the Met run — the curators, educators and museum workers seeking to join @uaw.org

Congrats to Met Museum workers on filing for this historic union election!
Workers at The Met are trying to unionize, citing “long-term pay inequities, lack of job protection, and ever-increasing workloads.” If they succeed, their union would be one of the largest museum unions in the US.

“Do you want to trust the person whose head is full of math instead of feeling? Myself, I would prefer a less-abstract pattern of moral responsiveness — call it analog morality, if you will, the kind that happens in our real lives outside of thought experiments.” — @benwurgaft.bsky.social
as a topic for journalism, moral philosophy appears meek - but what if we add a collegiate social movement, billionaires, and a healthy dose of scandal? I reviewed David Edmonds' new book on the Effective Altruists and Peter Singer, for @chronicle.com: www.chronicle.com/article/drow...

NO BAILOUTS FOR THEFT-TECH!

Expropriate their asses instead.

They owe us - not the other way around. 1/3
