Maybe that’s part of it, but most likely it’s because Komeito voters are critical of corruption and Takaichi put all of the scandal ridden politicians back in power.

Looks like Osse could give him a serious challenge. He won’t have the PAC money or lobbyist backing that Jeffries does, but AOC has shown that it’s possible to win in NYC on policy and vision.
