Ben Drowned is unironically directly and indirectly responsible for so many things in my life today. It helped me find hobby and community when I was an anxious college freshman. I never would have met my partner without this story, along with many other incredible people. And I'm so thankful 💜

A male rock ptarmigan (Lagopus muta) in winter plumage.
Ptarmigan is from Gaelic 'tarmachan' meaning "croaker". The p- was added when people mistakenly assumed it was a Greek word.
