Realism is my passion, Tommy. And birds.
This calendar has become an annual gift to me from my spouse. It hangs by the front door and brings joy to all who gaze upon the supple limbs of each month's featured bird. There's a large sealed envelope in our closet right now and I know the 2026 calendar awaits.

Same. I keep saying I'm done after this batter but now I think I'm too tired to get up and go to bed.
Maybe just the angle of perspective, but.. do they prefer particular orientations in the water or certain limbs for different actions? Like right or left handedness, but five ways?
Never too young to join an aquatic coven! My 6yo daughter wants to join her grandma's, too 🧙
Quality PNW afternoon. Went to look for salmon with my daughter at Longfellow Creek in West Seattle. We saw a couple of fish, talked about beavers and 6PPDQ (she was captivated by one of my related work projects last spring), and snooped under a very low bridge to scope out these tracks...

Can I interest you in a baby barred owl scaling a redwood with its claws and beak as a parent watches? It didn't know it couldn't fly yet and fluttered down right in front of us before quickly heading back up. It was amazing to watch with my own kiddos. #birds
Like, yes Pearl Jam, great. But also, where's Metric or Broken Social Scene? Holy F*ck? I can root for the M's while enjoying music from across the border.
I'm so stressed and they keep losing when I'm wearing my favorite M's shirts so I'm eschewing all gear tonight
