I haven’t posted much about my garden this year because it’s currently under much construction. Me and dad finished the new garden beds but the long one needs a bit of love after almost 4 years and I hadn’t really planted anything.

I sometimes listen to court cases when I am working since you can watch the streams and there was a case I was following for a few months. I just watched a Melbourne police officer be fined $1000 for recording a video of a victim and keeping it on her phone and her laugh as soon as the magistrate

Sometimes I feel like I have split personalities. Part of me is an adult and part of me is a child and I’m basically parenting the part of me that thinks cake is dinner.

I recently learned that a vienetta icecream was just cheap vanilla icecream and cheap chocolate but they told me it wasn’t for children and children couldn’t eat it.
I was so mad when I tried it. I thought it had alcohol like tiramisu or coffee at least.
No they can’t be trusted.

This. My entire desirability community is almost exclusively through twitter. I found out about a co-morbidity that has saved my life from twitter.
Many of us also rely on that site for our careers, and there's a huge community of disabled and marginalized people that rely on their peers there for support and meeting basic financial needs. It's very literally a deadly loss.
"I hope Twitter implodes!" I don't. I hope someone else takes over & the site returns to how it was before. I have spent years of my life posting over there. It's like losing a close friend that introduced me to all of my other friends. It sucks & I'm not ashamed to admit that I'm sad about that.

All of this right here. I’m thinking every “why are you still there” post is intentionally tone deaf at this point because we’ve long since explained why people might still be on the bird site despite flying the (un)friendly skies.
Because I and virtually every other artist I know makes most of not all their art income from there. Last month I had 1300 website visits from twitter. 1 from here and none from Mastodon. It's crushing.

I was chatting to a book editor last week and she said having close to 100k Twitter followers really makes a difference in terms of being able to get a deal. All that creative and professional leverage being wiped out is staggering

It’s almost 3am where I am and I’m up because my brain decided to wonder if my medical expenses are tax deductible… well they aren’t.
So now I’m still up because I’m fuming that 25% of my income goes to taxes, another 25-30% goes to my disability
And apparently I owe the ato $30😑.
