Feeling useless and nauseous and terrified ahead of a big meeting and got messages slipping in just ahead of it that my baked treats had got lovely comments from her colleagues and I feel so pleased
You know what, fuck you, XWP loves me & I baked her favourite treat even if I needed mh check-ins during & I am on the upswing if only by elimination of other options & I'm going to get stronger every fucking springtime & I personally am going to make it. I am going to be so happy one day. Fuck you

When would the phrase 5 o clock somewhere first have made sense? Standardisation of time x awareness of time zones x stigma against work drinking but not so much that people won't joke about it. Thin window

We had a guy call us in tears cos they'd put him in a taxi with all his belongings on like 2 hrs notice after weeks of "be ready for a taxi" (what, at all times?). Taxi driver *wouldn't tell him where he was going*. He phoned asking us if we could tell him what part of the country he was in now
Dismal framing. Every aspect of most asylum seekers’ lives is controlled & paid for by the Home Office. They can’t work, are told where to live & have no autonomy or dignity. So they aren’t *choosing* to use taxis & don’t need to be “banned” from doing so. The HO just needs to get its act in order.

The ban is set to come in February and any exemptions will have to be signed off by the Home Office.
