Bad Pacifist, passable writer. Meritocracy is a myth. Tolerance is a peace treaty, not a suicide pact. American was never great, but it's over now. He/Him

An explosion took place in a building of the Harvard Medical School in Boston early on Saturday morning, the school’s police department said, in what the authorities described as an intentional act.

It is time to admit that Republicans won the 2024 election by running to the center.

Let them eat cake
Knowing Vance's shopping habits, I'm sure he would get Charlie a nice chair.
Important context for this is that Vance told the crowd he wished his actual wife found Christ.

It ads, context to this.
What kind of recently widowed woman rubs her hands through a married man’s hair? Not to mention the vice president of the United States? this is so strange.

It is notable that when AFGE and Delta do stuff like this, they specifically call for a clean CR, not for “an end to the shutdown,” which could include subsidies. These are specifically calls for Democrats to fold, and they should ignore them.
You know it’s serious when corporates begin to complain.

I'd say that you can find good in many people who voted for Trump, but you won't find it in their reasons for voting for Trump or in their ideas about politics.

I know Trump voters who can be kind and generous and loving. If you ask why they voted for Trump they'll give you misinfo and bigotry.

We've gotten so many of these pieces where a liberal engages in a good-faith effort to understand Trump voters. Every time, they discover that there's no deeper sympathetic reason they hold their views. They're just misinformed and hateful. My own efforts have found this too.

If you have lived life in republic where people voting to touch the stove has never had profound, understood negative material impact because it was managed away – something was already broken and someway possibly inevitable.

This is brutal
Look. It would be great if there was one simple trick for winning elections. But 'just be more moderate' isn't it.

In fact, you can use the NYT's exact method to 'prove' a 'Progressive Advantage' of +1.4 pts.

This piece shows what's really going on: funded candidates do better than unfunded ones.
The New York Times’ “Moderation Advantage” Is a Statistical Illusion
After accounting for money and incumbency the supposed electoral bonus for moderate candidates vanishes entirely.

Fun thing about this pac that sponsored this "poll" is that their biggest initiative was to support Tim Ryan against JD Vance for Senate.

They also supported a centrist in California who lost.

But the New York Times wrote about them so they're totes legit, right Joe?
Duh. Those of us on the ground last year actually speaking with middle class/working class voters and who heard from these voters every single day the same - “Trump is an asshole, but Democrats are out of touch” - could’ve saved my new political party a lot of time & money producing this “report.”👇
You want to know how the Dems will win elections?
1) Run candidates who actually give a shit about helping other people and can speak authentically about it
2) Run people who know "negotiating across the aisle" in 2025 is "working with Nazis"
3) Drop kick their consultants into the sun.

It's great about how that entire framing is basically " the media said this was an issue" and so it became an issue instead of the media being the problem.

Absolutely no one talks about the lgbtq community as much as a conservative politico
Yeah he's clearly auditioning to be on supreme court with that attitude

Yes, they’re using the shutdown to turn off SNAP benefits.

No, they don’t have to.
