Valiant Horizon is a game very much about tactical combat though. This one doesn't even have a combat system as such! Instead, all obstacles in your way are handled using an extremely flexible and intuitive challenge/complication system. It can trivially be molded into whatever shape you'd like.

Human's first special power was the beautiful folly of rapid & robust group pattern recognition, which let us learn stuff like "there's always food here" & "this plant kills you". It also means sometimes a gal banged 2 rocks together & it thundered so they rain danced with rocks for 10,000 years.
