If masked people try to kidnap a person, without properly identifying themselves and presenting a judicial warrant, why is it incumbent upon the attacked to presume they are authorities and not not common thugs? How can they be charged with resisting or assault for defending themselves?

BREAKING: A federal judge found ICE violated a consent decree prohibiting ICE from arresting people without warrants or probable cause in Illinois and five other states. The court extended the decree until February 2, 2026, giving a tool to fight against ICE’s abuses of warrantless arrests.
