I’m pretty slow to catch on when people won’t be direct & end up tap dancing around. I guess they think they’re sparing *my* feelings. They aren’t. I really prefer the truth. I can manage my own feelings just fine. I’ve survived decades of life without being coddled by people I barely know. 🙄

My friend is always late to everything It’s her ADHD manifestation. So I often tell her things are starting 30-45 minutes earlier than they actually do, so she can be almost on time. I like to think of it as a special adaptation tool rather than ‘I lied about the start time’.
