We live in a country where the government does not mandate that employers have to pay people enough to afford food, rent, utilities, and transportation as a bare minimum.

I am still SO ANGRY about Democrats capitulating. I mean, this was by far the stupidest thing I've ever fucking seen in my entire life of watching incompetence and cowardice lead the way.

At the end of the day, the government has just asked its citizens to choose between ensuring the population is adequately fed, or that the population has adequate healthcare, so that we don't have to add taxes to the ultra-wealthy just a little bit.

I hear a lot of liberals who don't have SNAP benefits arguing to keep the shutdown and fighting for healthcare.
Valid point: Healthcare is a necessary human right and we need to not make it worse.
Counter: we're asking millions to go hungry as a concession to win.

Can we talk about #WelcomeToDerry?! Because episode 2 had a scene that had me in a full blown panic for this character and it was absolutely astonishing film, audio, staging, effects. I was blown away.

I think there'd be a LOT less radicalism in this country. We still have a racism problem though.
