Yeah, I’m sure a group of people who - it should be clear to anyone with half a brain - absolutely love and agree with Nigel Farage’s politics are fearful of his wrath.
This could be boiled down to "Guys, you're embarrassing me". That explains why it's in Jewish News and not the Guardian, but it also explains why Freedland is prepared to admit for once that the "official community's" attitude has always been political.

JONATHAN FREEDLAND: Why Britain’s Jewish leaders are silent on Farage’s schoolyard antisemitism
While the Reform UK leader and his allies smear accusers as liars, the Board, JLC and HET remain mute, fearing the wrath of a rising politician

The MP for a constituency with a 47% child poverty rate, by the way. His constituents deserve a better representative.
Keir Starmer - "I’ve always wanted a Labour government but I’ve never worried about the future of our country under a Tory government."

The words of a man so insulated from the harm done by the Tories he felt no compulsion not to continue the harm not being done to him and his.

Every day screaming fits about cutting public spending, as they pay a guy 7 times the median UK salary for 10 hours work a month; while undergoing a bid from a rival media group to save them from going to the wall because their finances are in such bad health.
There is sooo much wrong with the UK's media and politics.

The difference this time being that it’s happening to a group of people who spent 2015-2019 running a concerted and hysterical campaign to delegitimise the very idea of Labour governments.

For my entire life, British politics, how it works, and what it accomplishes, has been in lockstep with the opinions of a handful of arsehole newspaper columnists. I think we can all agree that this has been a tremendous success and things are going great.
BREAKING:

Cost of Living could plummet as both Labour MPs and right wing commentators join forces to give Green Party free rent in their heads.

Obsessed.

He’s so fucking radioactive he doesn’t have a snowball’s chance in hell of winning a leadership contest voted on by dues-paying members; but we know the wider public is going to LOVE him so we’ll shithouse him into No. 10 and cruise to victory in 2029. A genius plan. Nothing can possibly go wrong.
“A coronation rather than a contest to install him as Labour leader”, you say.

A cursory, five second glance at that man’s twitter feed, at any given hour of the day because he never stops posting, would tell you he is the furthest thing from a credible witness. A headbanger’s headbanger.
Someone ask the judge what her reaction would be if she was on the receiving end of what Glinner did, *then* followed it up with that performance in court?

But of course we all know the answer anyway.

Fair play to her, in a crowded field she is truly a outstanding unserious politician
Kemi Badenoch tells Keir Starmer that he is leading "the first government in history to float increasing income tax rates only to then U-turn on it all after the actual budget".

Starmer: "The Budget is next week"

The effortlessness of the pivot from “it’s all single fighting-age men™️ on those boats” to this…
BBC News: "the government believe refugees are deliberately bringing their children to avoid deportation"

As opposed to doing what with their children??

I have complete faith in Keir Starmer. I know he can hit single digits.
NEW from Ipsos

Satisfaction with the PM remains unchanged since September, continuing to be the worst ever recorded by Ipsos for a Prime Minister, going back to 1977…

The sort of thing that will be remembered the instant Wesley makes the press, who will have shithoused him into No. 10, look like idiots.

If I didn’t want the greens to make gains, I would simply use my massive parliamentary majority and 4 years left in government to materially improve people’s lives

Probably worth asking why, on both sides of the Atlantic, journalism as a profession is so rotten to its core that Teen Vogue stood out for its hard-hitting political reporting in the first place.

The important thing here is that Starmer and the people around him will get some nice cushy gigs at big tech companies once this government is turfed out… the general public? Fuck the lot of you. 🌹🇬🇧

Much like Hillsborough, you have to marvel at how Britain as a system is so utterly impervious to accountability: decades of orchestrated bullshit, legal shenanigans and institutional roadblocks, and then one final great rasping fart of “maybe it was elves that did it, and fuck you”.

Worth bearing in mind that The Times more than any other newspaper sets the tone for everything the current government does… and that’s going very well for everyone, isn’t it?
Another day. Another clutching of pearls hit piece.

Today courtesy of the Times. I'm not sure if the Daily Mail or the Express are on the rota tomorrow?

Ronay’s always been a smug, sanctimonious cunt but somehow making this, over multiple paragraphs, about Zack Polanski is taking the piss even by his standards.
