He Who Shapes, I often yell at television screens when a cake is brought out but not eaten
The thing I still can't believe is he tore down half the White House. I know we like to say "What if Biden..." but Biden would have been impeached and the Democrats would have supported it. 2026 will be the year he does an executive order to put his face over Lincoln's on Mount Rushmore
WASHINGTON (AP) — Trump sued by preservationists seeking architecture review and congressional approval over White House ballroom project.

They still say he was a liberal. Still very common for them to say "they killed Charlie Kirk"
It’s kind of incredible how little has been published about this guy and how little conservatives seem to care. Did people just forget these people were screeching for civil war when they thought he was a liberal?
Suspected Charlie Kirk assassin makes first in-person court appearance
The Utah man charged with killing Charlie Kirk made his first in-person court appearance Thursday as his attorneys pushed to further limit media access in the high-profile criminal case.

If I say to this “Show me Mickey Mouse jacking off while Minnie pegs Goofy” and the creation doesn’t immediately make me hard, it will be a complete failure
Bob Iger says that Disney's OpenAI deal is designed to respect and protect the artists and art that made the studio legendary. Wrote about how that's complete and utter bullshit

I’ve heard season 3 of Rings of Power will run late next year but I don’t understand why the Eagles don’t just swoop in and solve all the problems

Remember when the Bush people convinced themselves that Iraq would quickly become the 51st state and the rest of the region would follow without a fight? There's probably some connection to how every old horror movie franchise has new movies being made
Venezuela's just the first of many, and they're hoping other places will just fold instead of getting into a protracted air and ground war after this one.

And I know what you're thinking: Didn't the creation of Dubai require slaves? Yes! Good point! Noodle on that for a minute.

I get annoyed every day that professional Democrats decided to stop calling these people weird
Mr. Rubio said switching back to Times New Roman would “restore decorum and professionalism to the department’s written work.” Calibri is “informal” when compared to serif typefaces like Times New Roman and “clashes” with the department’s official letterhead. www.nytimes.com/2025/12/09/u...

Jay Kelly is an enjoyable film and it's taught me that we should stop making fun of Tom Cruise running. Cruise and George Clooney are about the same age and Clooney runs like Pee Wee Herman

Watching Mission Impossible: Final Reckoning on Paramount+. Just a few questions: was I supposed to remember literally anything that happened in the last movie? Apparently this is part two of that and I have no idea what anyone is talking about

Can't wait to see if FIFA will ever again give out another Peace Prize

They'll say things like "But AI and the algorithm say there should be an action sequence here"
thinking about all the time and care put into shooting One Battle After Another and Sinners in niche film formats, and the sheer beauty of the results on projected celluloid. A Netflix-owned Warner Bros will still release movies; I doubt it will release movies like that.

Um, yeah, we need to go to The Hague. We live in a country where Hakeem Jeffries, the Congressional Opposition Leader, just complimented Trump for securing the border. No one in this country is going to prosecute Hegseth
If we're not at war, Pete Hegseth is a murderer. If we are at war, Pete Hegseth is still a murderer. He's a murderer. And you don't need to go to The Hague to hold him accountable because there are perfectly good, American laws AGAINST MURDER.
My latest in @thenation.com
Pete Hegseth Should Be Charged With Murder
No matter how you look at the strikes on alleged “drug boats”—as acts of war or attacks on civilians—Hegseth has committed a crime and should be prosecuted.

Sad thing is Jeffries probably thinks he's doing a great job
Jeffries: "The border is secure. That's a good thing. It happened on his watch. He wants to claim credit for it, of course he'll get credit for that. In terms of making sure that we actually deal with the issues that matter, including on immigration, there's a lot that's left to be desired."

If Trump is up late at night it's because he's ranting in all caps on Truth Social about some woke yogurt ad he just saw on Fox
Leavitt: "The NYT took about 1/3 of the president's daily calendar & schedule & said that he's doing less than he did in his first term, or he might not be fit for the job. That is unequivocally false and it's deeply unfortunate that the story was written ... he is taking meetings around the clock"
