This is astonishing.

So not “42”?

They are a bit more cakey—they don’t flatten out as much

Well-deserved!

Good ol’ Tollhouse chocolate chip (but with twice the baking soda and slightly undercooked)

I wonder if we will also be delayed for de-icing.

My fake flight is delayed by almost an hour. The bus is awaiting clearance to get to the gate. Flight control is probably like, “Dude, you’re a bus, WTF.”

My “flight” is a bus…which I could have discovered by reading the fine print but, you know, booking something called a “flight” and choosing seats on an image shaped like a plane encourages certain expectations. Hard eye roll, #AmericanAirlines.

Predictable :(

That guy is messed up

I loved that film!

Fuck it. I’m in a mood. Let’s do another Saturday with Camus.

Awesome! Congratulations and I hope it fully pans out!

Might this be related to the thing that, a few weeks ago, you said you put yourself out there for? In any case, hoping this and the other thing turn out well for you.

I hope you’ll get your thing!

What happened?

I can’t understand a parent shouting in rapid succession from the sidelines at a soccer game “Go! Go! Stay! Stay! Go!” How does one follow that instruction?

Frustrating indeed!

Omg, this is awful.

How scary! Hope all is well now, or will be soon.

Hope you’ll feel better soon!

I’ve written a piece on the “sin of empathy” discourse: religionnews.com/2025/03/12/e...
Empathy isn't a sin. It's a risk.

This month marks 100 years since the Scopes Monkey Trial. I grew up in Dayton Tennessee, under the long shadow of that trial. In this Op Ed for @rns.org I share what it means to me now.

religionnews.com/2025/07/03/1...
100 years after Scopes trial, cultural discourse about 'Bible Belt' Christians still suffers
(RNS) — Perhaps the trial’s most lasting legacy is the precedent it set for how we engage with our ideological enemies and the role the media play in that discourse.

This is a great article by @amandaheldopelt.bsky.social

I went to that conference (I assume it’s the same one) in 2006 and stayed in a convent there too—looks like the same convent, even, from the look of the room. It was awesome. Hope you have a good time!
