Humans are about 10 million times larger than viruses, yet they kill us regularly.

We can’t see them. We can’t outrun them. We can’t destroy them with our guns.

And yet we continue to disrespect them.

Vaccinate.

“When you search for recipes, make sure they come from trusted human cooks who actually test their food.”

Don’t let Silicon Valley chat bots screw up your turkey, folks. Scroll past the AI slop to find real info from a real person.
NEW: AI “recipe slop” is overrunning search and social. Food creators say Google’s AI Overviews and glossy fake food pics are drowning out real, tested recipes — collapsing traffic and setting home cooks up for disaster, especially this Thanksgiving.

Giving Thanks to Laurie for all her hard linking of #writing tips- not just for #kidlit by the way.
Hook vs. Inciting Incident
What's the difference between a story's hook and its inciting incident?

Did the designers of the cars even consider how high powered glaring lights would appear to oncoming traffic? Big oops.
This is very high on my list of "not politically charged stuff I want somebody to run for office on"
I wish we, like, regulated shit nowadays. Between car bloat, blinding headlines, and neighbourhoods packed with rental suites but no on-property parking, driving is an absolute nightmare now.

One of my fave Caldecott books!
The Queen of Hearts may be outrageous, but she’s rooted in real medieval fears of monarchs with absolute power. Sometimes nonsense reveals more truth than history books. #FairyTaleTuesday

Gratitude to Jeanne for spreading the word! At a time when religious leaders are protesting injustice- this book is so relevant.📚

YES: Rep. Jasmine Crockett calls for all 50 states to ABOLISH voting machines owned by Dominion, which is now owned by a MAGA election-denying Trump supporter.

What an incredible place for a #poem to resurface. Art as an expressive tool for justice. Carl Sandburg would be thrilled.
Ellis starting the day off by reading out Carl Sandburg's poem "Chicago" in its entirety.

You could go further, right? Where’s the demand for a new Speaker? If Johnson is going to refuse to do his job, why aren’t we calling for him to be replaced, the House sent back to work, the shutdown ended, and the Epstein files to be released.
Democrats should hold a press conference and announce that if Mike Johnson has no interest in running the House they'd be happy to do it for him
Mike Johnson has dissolved Congress. Why?

Eleanor Roosevelt faced death threats because of her activism for equal rights. DJT's courage wouldn't even fill up his bone spurs. He can tear down the #EastWing, but he can't erase her legacy.
