My letter to Labour stating my resignation from the party bounced as it went to an address that was not monitored.

I added a further line and posted to the correct address.

I do not expect a response.

Go and see bands actually playing live in small clubs. These big ticket tours are destroying the music industry with their bland auto-tuned Muzak.

‘Tickets have become status symbols’: from Harry Styles to Taylor Swift, why is live music bigger and more expensive than ever?
Styles is playing a record 12 nights at Wembley stadium and 30 at Madison Square Garden, as demand for big artists soars – and audience expectation along with it

AOC: We are going to have to reckon, as a country, with this time. And I hope that that reckoning includes prosecution of people who are involved with the lawbreaking and human rights violations they are knowingly engaging in right now.

The 50 wealthiest families in the UK own more than 34 million people combined.

That level of inequality is totally unsustainable.

A wealth tax isn’t radical - it’s inevitable. And the Green Party will keep making the case.

One by one, Europeans mentioned in the Epstein files who still hold political office are beginning to resign or are being forced out of office.

Meanwhile, ruled by an administration almost entirely made up of Epstein associates, the US carries on as if nothing really happened.

Previously unseen photos showing Jeffrey Epstein’s body lying on a stretcher and being attended to by medics and a close-up of his neck showing visible signs of injuriy in the immediate aftermath of his death have appeared in the newly released Epstein files.

Yes, elections are run by states. That is true today. Here's a list of other things that USED to be true. Feel free to add.

-Law enforcement need probable cause/warrant to enter
-You have the right to Due Process
-You have the right to peacefully protest
-US Presidents may not profit from office

The answer is racism.
Alleged felons can get bail. They're presumed innocent, can go home, pending trial. Being in the US illegally is a civil offense, at worst a misdemeanor. So WHY are suspected illegal migrants, INCLUDING CHILDREN, in cement prisons, served worm-infested food, exposed to measles, denied medical care?!

A number of AI-generated images have been circulating on social media falsely claiming to show a young Zohran Mamdani and his mother posing alongside Jeffrey Epstein.

This has led to Alex Jones and others baselessly claiming that the fake images indicate Mamdani might be related to Epstein.

This is how I felt after I read pretty much every email between Epstein and Bannon after the House Oversight release in December.

So many truly sociopathic men with so much power, bent on destroying humanity for their own fascistic aims & chatting about it in real time, is enough to drive you mad.
I read this, and I almost regret it. What do you even do with the knowledge that Epstein wanted and was trying to engineer societal breakdown via far right populism bc he thought it would benefit his sex trafficking business?
I read thousands of pages of Epstein files this weekend trying to understand what he wanted out of his meeting with 4chan's Christopher Poole. Here's everything we know about Epstein's plans to dismantle the internet and, eventually, democracy.

Making it make sense: Epstein wasn't a global mastermind. He did not orchestrate a vast conspiracy that led us to today.

He was a very rich man with connections to other very rich men. The shared culture of these men is that they have a right to dominate and abuse others without consequence.

Yesterday I was in a room packed full of MPs imploring govt to rethink its proposed changes to ILR rules for migrants

Govt is planning to make unfair retrospective changes that are racist & classist

These would devastate the lives of many who have made this country their home

It's rare to see how lobbyists operate. But the Epstein-Mandelson correspondence shows us what happens all the time: plutocrats and government ministers conspiring against the public interest. This is why all lobbying should be in the public domain, but despite Labour and Con promises, it's not. 🧵

Here's the context:
When Mandelson was Business Minister, Epstein wrote asking him to make only the cash portion (ie not equity etc) of bankers’ bonuses taxable.
Mandelson's answer: “Trying hard to amend as I explained to Jes last night. Treasury digging in but I am on case.”

I'm guessing that the "Jes" in this message is that other moral paragon, Jes Staley, though I can't be sure. A Labour government minister, channelling the demands of his finance-bro chums.
This, my friends, is how it happens. This is why we don't get what we want, or what we vote for.

Neoliberalism

Growth is treated as the only objective of economic policy, irrespective of who makes the gains, and we know the rich always capture them.
